10 hours of train travel today. Getting a bunch of stuff read instead of remembering what the rest of the country looks like out of a moving window. Words rushing past like sheep, herded into stories and snippets. Not on the tube though. Too crowded and hot on the Victoria line.
Cold and dark this season, first hints of Christmas rolling in, the taste of solstice already on the air. Been that long already? Mountain season now though, put roots of earth down and hold fast. Get your gravity in order. Feel those tectonic plates sliding into position way down beneath you. Shuffling past each other like words, rumbling like sentences planting themselves in your mind.
